18-Year-Old Racing Driver Dilano van 't Hoff Dies in Spa-Francorchamps Crash

Tragedy struck the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) on Saturday as 18-year-old driver Dilano van 't Hoff lost his life in a multi-car collision at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. The Dutch driver, competing for MP Motorsport, was involved in the devastating crash during the second race of the event under wet conditions.

MP Motorsport expressed their profound sorrow in a statement, describing van 't Hoff as one of the brightest Dutch talents and a valued member of their racing family since his debut with the team in 2021. They extended their deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, acknowledging the loss of both a driver and a friend.

Van 't Hoff had achieved success early in his career, winning the Spanish F4 championship in 2021. He was currently ranked 15th in the FRECA standings before the tragic incident.

FRECA also released a statement confirming van 't Hoff's death and extending condolences to his family, team, and friends. The Royal Automobile Club of Belgium, the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, and SRO Motorsports Group joined in expressing their sympathies.
