Incoming Florida Senator Ashley Moody has outlined her key priorities, including auditing the Federal Reserve, reducing government spending, and strengthening border security. Appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to replace Marco Rubio, Moody is expected to be swiftly confirmed, even garnering support from some Democrats.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Moody emphasized her commitment to fiscal responsibility. She stated her intention to audit the Fed, citing its role in fueling inflation, and pledged to combat excessive government spending. She expressed her desire to emulate Florida's fiscal approach at the national level, aiming to leave a stronger financial legacy for future generations. Moody also highlighted the importance of confirming judges who adhere to constitutional principles, referencing Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito as exemplars. Governor DeSantis echoed this sentiment, referring to Thomas and Alito as the "gold standard."

Furthermore, Moody expressed her commitment to supporting policies that bolster border security, including building a wall and removing individuals who entered the country illegally. She voiced her support for former President Trump and his agenda. DeSantis reinforced this stance, advocating for stricter immigration enforcement.
