Law enforcement in Broward County, Florida, is searching for a man involved in a physical altercation at a Pompano Beach cinema. The dispute stemmed from a disagreement over reserved seating.

The incident, which occurred just before 10 p.m. on July 10, involved a 63-year-old man and his wife who had purchased VIP seats. Upon entering the theater, they found another couple occupying their designated spots. When the 63-year-old politely requested they vacate the seats, the situation escalated. According to witnesses, the man already seated became confrontational, aggressively approaching the victim. Surveillance footage shows the victim stumbling backward into the aisle and falling down the steps. The aggressor then proceeded to punch the 63-year-old multiple times in the face. Bystanders intervened, pulling the attacker off the victim. The suspect and his female companion then fled the scene.

The victim received medical treatment at a local hospital for injuries to his head and face. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit is actively seeking information regarding the suspect's identity and whereabouts. Those with information are urged to contact Detective Lacey Fitzpatrick or submit an anonymous tip via Crime Stoppers.
