ICE Apprehends Individuals in Detroit, Colorado, and New York City, and Assists in Peruvian Human Trafficking Operation

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has reported a series of arrests across the United States, along with their involvement in a significant human trafficking operation in Peru. In Detroit, a 23-year-old Venezuelan national entered an ICE office and requested to be detained, claiming he would commit crimes otherwise. ICE officials confirmed he is in custody awaiting immigration proceedings. Robert Lynch, Field Office Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Detroit, expressed gratitude for the individual's self-reporting.

ICE also announced the arrest of Adan Desederio Pavon-Andino, a 30-year-old Honduran national, in Thornton, Colorado. Pavon-Andino faces multiple felony charges, including drug possession and distribution, as well as firearm possession and illegal re-entry into the U.S. He had previously been deported.

In New York City, ICE detained 27-year-old Ecuadorian national Kail Sebastian Cardenas Aguirre, who has a prior conviction for sex abuse. Furthermore, ICE played a supporting role in an operation conducted by the National Police of Peru in Lima, which led to the arrest of approximately 23 individuals suspected of involvement in a human trafficking ring. Over 80 victims, including three minors, were rescued during this operation.
