Nearly three decades after the tragic murder of his daughter JonBenét Ramsey, John Ramsey is continuing his relentless pursuit of justice. He plans to meet with Boulder Police Department Chief Stephen Redfearn in January, accompanied by a representative from an independent genetic genealogy research lab. The goal: to persuade local authorities to allow cutting-edge DNA testing on crime scene evidence.
The 28th anniversary of JonBenét's unsolved murder recently passed, and Ramsey remains determined to find her killer. He expressed his hope that the meeting with Chief Redfearn will be a turning point in the investigation, emphasizing the importance of utilizing advanced DNA technology. Ramsey believes that partnering with an independent lab with access to private genetic genealogy databases may hold the key to identifying a suspect.

Ramsey's persistence stems from his unwavering belief that his daughter's case should not become another statistic among Colorado's unsolved homicides. He has been actively advocating for retesting certain evidence, including external male DNA discovered in 1997, as well as testing other items for the first time. Public records reveal over 20 untested items, including a garrote, ransom note, suitcase potentially used by the killer, a flashlight, and rope found in Burke Ramsey's room.
