Kadarius Toney's Super Bowl Ring Celebration Includes a Message for the New York Giants

Despite winning a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs, former New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney hasn't forgotten his time with the team that drafted him. In fact, he seems to still harbor some resentment.

The 20th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Toney's tenure with the Giants was marked by injuries and a perceived lack of buy-in to the team's new culture. This led to his trade to Kansas City last season for third- and fifth-round draft picks. Toney subsequently played a key role in the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory, catching a touchdown and contributing a crucial punt return in the final quarter.

During the Chiefs' recent Super Bowl ring ceremony, Toney made his feelings toward the Giants quite clear. He stated his intention to wear his Super Bowl ring on his middle finger as a direct message to the organization and its fans.

Toney acknowledged his penchant for "trolling" but suggested it was justified, claiming the Giants had attempted to "troll" him first. He even declared he would visit New York City with his middle finger raised.

While Toney's future performance remains to be seen, if he can stay healthy, he has the potential to be a significant receiving threat for Patrick Mahomes. The Giants, meanwhile, used the acquired third-round pick in a trade for Darren Waller, making the Toney trade seemingly beneficial for both teams.
