Kamala Harris's AI Explanation Turns into Another 'Word Salad' Gaffe

Vice President Kamala Harris's attempt to simplify artificial intelligence for a gathering of labor and civil rights leaders on Wednesday ended up as another confusing explanation, a pattern she's become known for. Meeting at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C., Harris began by stating, "AI is kind of a fancy thing. It's two letters. It means artificial intelligence, but ultimately it's about machine learning."

She continued, "The machine is taught, and the key question is what information is fed into it. This input determines the output – the decisions and opinions generated through the process." Harris stressed the importance of understanding the information that shapes AI's decisions and ensuring these decisions reflect the needs and experiences of everyone.

Harris also emphasized the need for transparency in AI technology and its decision-making processes. This incident follows recent criticism of Harris for similarly convoluted remarks during a discussion on transportation, where she stated the obvious: "This issue of transportation is fundamentally about making sure people can get where they need to go!"

In April, Harris delivered another perplexing statement at a pro-abortion rally, emphasizing the importance of understanding the present moment in a historical and future context.
