Nevada authorities confirmed on Tuesday the execution of a search warrant in Henderson, a city near Las Vegas, related to the 1996 unsolved murder of iconic rapper Tupac Shakur. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department acknowledged the warrant but declined to provide further information, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. Shakur, a highly influential figure in hip-hop, was 25 when he was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. The case remains open, as Nevada law does not impose a statute of limitations on homicide prosecutions.
