Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, has been taken into custody in Texas following accusations of physical assault against his estranged wife, Kate Major Lohan. Court documents reveal that Lohan faces a felony charge of "continuous violence against the family."
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Kate Lohan reported the incident while at a medical appointment. She alleged that Michael Lohan had thrown her from a chair at their home a few days prior, resulting in pain and visible bruising. Deputies confirmed observing the bruises.

Michael Lohan was apprehended at his residence in north Harris County and is currently held on a $30,000 bond, pending a court appearance. Kate Major Lohan released a statement requesting privacy for herself and her children, expressing hope for justice.

Michael and Kate Lohan married in 2014 and are parents to two sons. While they filed for divorce in 2018, citing an "irretrievably broken" relationship, the petition was withdrawn the following year.

This is not Michael Lohan's first encounter with law enforcement. He was arrested in 2020 for allegedly becoming physically and verbally abusive towards Kate Major. Kate Lohan, a former journalist, has also had legal troubles, including a 2015 arrest for allegedly attacking Michael Lohan and a 2020 DWI arrest.
