Former Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders recently shared his thoughts on his limited playing time during Super Bowl LVII, where he only saw 26 offensive snaps and managed 16 rushing yards on seven carries. This performance contrasted sharply with his two-touchdown showing in the NFC Championship game. Sanders, who signed a four-year, $25 million contract with the Carolina Panthers in the offseason, admitted he felt he could have contributed more in the Eagles' narrow 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Sanders' arrival in Carolina is intended to fill the void left by Christian McCaffrey, who was traded last season. When questioned about his Super Bowl LVII usage, Sanders responded, "Last game of the season? For all the marbles? Anyone could answer that. Put yourselves in my position, would you be satisfied? I'm not trying to grab headlines, but if it happens, so be it." He clarified that his limited role wasn't the reason for his departure from Philadelphia, adding cryptically, "Perhaps I can delve into that another time. Maybe you should ask them why I'm here."

A 2019 second-round draft pick from Penn State, Sanders quickly established himself as a key player for the Eagles. Over 57 games with Philadelphia, he amassed 3,708 yards and 20 rushing touchdowns. His performance peaked in 2022, earning him a Pro Bowl selection with a career-high 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns over 17 games.

While the Panthers may envision him in a third-down back role, Sanders is eager to make a significant impact on the offense. He expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "This will provide more chances for me to contribute to our team's success, and that's my primary focus. I'm a team player, and winning is paramount. Reaching the Super Bowl is quite addictive, and if I had the secret formula, I'd replicate it annually."
