Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay and his wife, Veronika Khomyn, joyfully announced they are expecting their first child – a boy – this fall. The exciting news was shared by Khomyn on Father's Day via an Instagram post featuring a collection of photos showcasing the couple relaxing and displaying ultrasound images of their baby.
Khomyn expressed her excitement, revealing that she is already five months along in her pregnancy. The couple first met while McVay was an assistant coach for the Washington Commanders and Khomyn was a college student in Virginia. Their engagement took place in 2019, followed by their marriage in 2022.
Khomyn, a model originally from Ukraine, previously discussed the challenges of being married to an NFL head coach, particularly the limited time together due to the demanding nature of McVay's profession. However, she acknowledged her understanding of the commitment required and expressed her support for McVay's passion and career.
McVay recently decided to remain with the Rams for his seventh season as head coach, after leading the team to a Super Bowl victory in 2021 and navigating a challenging 5-12 season in 2022. He now looks forward to welcoming his first child while continuing his coaching career.
