As a gesture of gratitude for their tireless efforts battling the destructive wildfires that ravaged Southern California in January 2025, both Universal Studios Hollywood and Disneyland are offering complimentary tickets to first responders.
Universal Studios Hollywood announced its "First Responder Heroes Ticket Offer" on January 31, 2025. Eligible active U.S.-based first responders can receive one free general admission ticket and a 50% discount on up to three additional tickets, valid until April 10, 2025. This offer extends to various first responder roles, including paramedics, EMTs, firefighters, police officers, sheriff's deputies, and National Guard members. Scott Strobl, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Universal Studios Hollywood, expressed profound gratitude for the first responders' courage and resilience, hoping the park can offer a well-deserved respite.

Following suit, Disneyland revealed its "Heroes Ticket" program on February 7, 2025. This offer grants two complimentary one-day "park hopper" tickets, providing access to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Ken Potrock, President of Disneyland Resort, echoed the sentiment of appreciation for the first responders' dedication. The "Heroes Ticket" is available to eligible California firefighters, Los Angeles-based law enforcement, EMTs, and mutual aid personnel who assisted in combating the January 2025 wildfires. These tickets are valid Monday through Thursday from May 5 to August 7, 2025, subject to theme park reservation availability.

Both theme parks require valid identification for ticket pickup and emphasize that further details will be communicated to eligible departments. These initiatives represent a tangible way to acknowledge and thank the brave individuals who risked their lives to protect their communities.
