South Korean DJ Found Dead in Cambodia: Chinese Couple Arrested

A well-known South Korean DJ and social media influencer, BJ Ah Yeong, was tragically found deceased in Cambodia. Her body, discovered wrapped in a mat, was found in the Kandal province on June 6th. Authorities have apprehended a Chinese couple who own a beauty clinic where Ah Yeong was last seen. The 33-year-old DJ, boasting a social media following of around 500,000, reportedly showed signs of a broken neck and bruising. The clinic owners, 30-year-old Lai Wenshao and 39-year-old Cai Huijuan, allege that Ah Yeong died after having a seizure during a saline IV treatment. They claim to have panicked, subsequently transporting her body in their vehicle and disposing of it. Ah Yeong was known to have an interest in cosmetic procedures and had previously undergone breast augmentation. Cambodian authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, working to determine if her injuries occurred before or after her passing. They are seeking witnesses and any information regarding individuals or vehicles present in the area around the time of the incident. The South Korean embassy and Ah Yeong's family have been notified, and are expected to collaborate with the investigation. The cause of death remains undetermined as investigations continue, and the Chinese couple are currently in custody.
