Videos circulating online showed Trump and Musk enjoying the festivities, with one capturing them dancing to the Village People's "Y.M.C.A.", a song frequently played at Trump rallies.
The video shows the two men sharing a lighthearted moment, with Trump playfully patting Musk on the back as they groove to the music. Musk, sporting an X logo T-shirt under a dark sports jacket, was also seen recording the lively atmosphere on his phone.
Another video captured Trump engaging in his signature dance moves alongside Musk's mother, Maye, at a table also occupied by Barron Trump, Melania Trump, and her father, Viktor Knavs.
The Thanksgiving dinner, attended by around 300 members and guests, reportedly cost $350 per person. Other prominent figures present included actor Sylvester Stallone and his wife, former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
According to sources, the Trump family arrived around 6:45 p.m. and departed around 9:15 p.m., while Stallone arrived closer to 8 p.m. The lavish buffet featured a traditional Thanksgiving spread with "everything else imaginable," according to an insider. The musical entertainment reportedly included Elvis Presley hits, "Phantom of the Opera," and "Ave Maria." Musk was also observed toasting the former president and his family.
Trudeau's presence at Mar-a-Lago on Friday followed Trump's recent threats to impose tariffs on Canadian goods. A photo shared by Senator-elect Dave McCormick (R-PA) showed him and his wife, Dina Powell, dining with Trump, Trudeau, Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick, Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL), North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, and North Dakota's First Lady, Kathryn Burgum.
Trudeau described the meeting as an "excellent conversation," while an anonymous official characterized it as a "positive, wide-ranging dinner" covering trade, border security, fentanyl, defense, Ukraine, NATO, China, the Middle East, pipelines, and the upcoming G7 meeting in Canada.
