Usyk to Defend Heavyweight Titles Against Dubois in Poland

Ukrainian boxing star Oleksandr Usyk will defend his WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight titles against British challenger Daniel Dubois on August 26th. The fight will take place at the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, Poland, providing Usyk with substantial home-country support given Poland's backing of Ukraine. Usyk, boasting a perfect 20-0 record with 13 knockouts, initially aimed for a clash with Tyson Fury, but negotiations fell through. This paved the way for the bout with Dubois, the WBA mandatory challenger. Dubois, 25, enters the ring with a 19-1 record, including 18 knockouts, and holds the WBA regular title. Usyk's recent victories include two consecutive wins against Anthony Joshua, first claiming the three titles in London in 2021 and then successfully defending them in a Saudi Arabia rematch last August.
