Arizona Wildfire Evacuation Orders Lifted, Containment Reaches 45%

Residents of six homes in western Arizona's Red Wing Canyon, evacuated due to a wildfire, have been allowed to return. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office lifted the evacuation orders late Thursday. The fire, located 13 miles north of Kingman, is now 45% contained, with firefighters successfully establishing a perimeter. Efforts are now concentrated on eliminating remaining hot spots and creating a secondary fire line to safeguard homes to the north. Approximately 200 firefighters are battling the blaze, which was first reported on Tuesday. While the cause remains under investigation, authorities suspect human activity. Dry and windy conditions are anticipated Friday. Fortunately, no injuries or structural damage have been reported.
