In a brazen midday robbery caught on camera, a FedEx driver was relieved of a package in Harvard, Massachusetts, last Friday. The Harvard Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 12:43 p.m. when two masked individuals exited a white Acura TLX and accosted the driver from behind as he was making a delivery. The vehicle, described as a late model with heavily tinted windows and a partial Connecticut license plate containing the letters "BN," had reportedly been observed parked in the vicinity for hours prior to the theft, leading investigators to suspect the perpetrators specifically targeted this delivery.
Although no weapon was visible in the surveillance footage, the suspects allegedly made verbal threats suggesting they were armed. One of the individuals swiftly snatched the package from the driver's grasp before returning to the waiting Acura and fleeing the scene.
The ensuing multi-state pursuit concluded near Providence, Rhode Island, when the suspects' vehicle crashed, according to WPRI. Providence Police Colonel Oscar Perez informed the station that one suspect remained at the crash site with reported injuries, while three others attempted to escape on foot but were quickly apprehended. Cranston Police Colonel Michael Winquist confirmed the apprehended individuals were traveling in a white Acura with Connecticut plates, matching the description provided by the victim and witnesses in Harvard. Law enforcement utilized K9 units to search for any potential firearms discarded by the fleeing suspects. The injured individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Providence Police Department has not yet responded to requests for further comment.
