Musician Gavin DeGraw showcased his support for President Donald Trump's inauguration by performing at the Starlight Ball. DeGraw shared his enthusiasm on social media, expressing his admiration for having a businessman at the helm of the American economy. He also extended an invitation to Elon Musk for a future celebration on Mars.

The Starlight Ball was one of three inaugural balls attended by President Trump. Other performers at the various balls included country music stars Rascal Flatts and Parker McCollum, rock icons Kid Rock, and country music veteran Billy Ray Cyrus at the Commander in Chief Ball. The Liberty Ball saw performances by Jason Aldean, the Village People, and Nelly.

While DeGraw is widely recognized for his hit song "I Don't Want to Be," which served as the theme song for the popular television series "One Tree Hill," he typically refrains from political commentary on social media, primarily focusing on his music. However, his performance at the inauguration demonstrates a departure from his usual online presence. He also participated in the "The Fourth in America" concert earlier in the year.

Carrie Underwood and Lee Greenwood were among the other notable performers at the inaugural events.
