In a recent interview with Romper, Hilaria Baldwin playfully suggested she sometimes feels like a mother to her husband, Alec Baldwin, in addition to their seven children. "Sometimes I’m his mommy. Sometimes," she quipped.
Hilaria, 39, opened up about the joys and challenges of motherhood, expressing her love for the baby phase and describing it as "creating love." She also shared her fondness for caring for others, particularly her husband.
Addressing past speculation about her relationship with the 65-year-old actor, Hilaria countered the narrative of "daddy issues," stating, "it’s actually the opposite." She offered no further details on this point.
The yoga instructor also likened giving birth to a thrilling, albeit scary, water slide experience. "This last time around, I pushed her out in a minute!" she exclaimed, adding, "Giving birth is like going down a water slide that's really scary. And then you get to the bottom, and you're like, ‘I want to do this again.’"
The couple shares seven children: Carmen, Raphael, Leo, Romeo, Eduardo, Maria, and Ilaria. Alec Baldwin also has a 27-year-old daughter, Ireland, from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger.
While Hilaria expressed a desire to stop expanding their family, saying, "This is probably, most definitely, almost completely my last baby," she also revealed that Alec has yet to undergo a vasectomy, despite her repeated suggestions. "Every single time I have a baby, my OB writes down the vasectomy doctor on a Post-It, and I bring it home to Alec. He hasn't done it yet," she shared.
Hilaria has been open about experiencing multiple miscarriages and using a surrogate for their sixth child, which led to having two babies within months of each other. Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin was recently cleared of involuntary manslaughter charges related to the accidental shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film "Rust." However, the film's weapons supervisor, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, still faces charges, with prosecutors suggesting she may have been hungover on the day of the incident.
