Gianno Caldwell Seeks FBI Intervention One Year After Brother's Unsolved Murder in Chicago

One year after the tragic loss of his 18-year-old brother, Christian, Fox News political analyst Gianno Caldwell is intensifying his plea for justice. Christian was killed in a shooting in Chicago on June 24, 2022. Gianno now urges the FBI to fully take over the investigation, expressing deep frustration with the Chicago Police Department's handling of the case.

In a recent appearance on "Your World," Caldwell revealed a concerning development. He recounted a call received in March from the Chicago PD, informing him of an arrest in an unrelated case. The individual apprehended is believed to be potentially involved in Christian's murder, possibly even one of the shooters. Caldwell was also told this individual is under federal investigation and in federal custody, a fact he appreciated.

However, Caldwell's frustration stems from the lack of communication and progress since that initial call. He claims the assigned detective has become unresponsive to his calls and texts. This perceived inaction has led him to publicly request the FBI's full involvement in his brother's case.

Caldwell expressed his disappointment with the Chicago Police Department, stating they have "failed thousands of families." He questioned the lack of progress despite a suspect being in federal custody, emphasizing the emotional toll on his family. "How can you tell me there's a guy in federal custody right now who you believe there's a high likelihood is responsible for the murder of my brother and there be nothing done since then?," he lamented.

Caldwell has been working with a congressman, aiming to garner bipartisan support for FBI involvement. He plans to address the issue directly with members of Congress and the FBI director, urging them to investigate the lack of progress in his brother's case. He has also directly appealed to the FBI field office in Chicago and FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., to contact him.

Caldwell attributes the lack of progress to soft-on-crime prosecutors and vows to continue his fight for justice. "I am furious with the injustice. I'm furious with the inaction, and I will not stop until there's justice for my brother."
