Former ICE Director and incoming border czar, Tom Homan, has issued a stern warning to sanctuary city officials, asserting that they will not be able to obstruct the Trump administration's efforts to deport undocumented immigrants. In a recent appearance on "The Ingraham Angle," Homan declared, "You're not going to stop us." He outlined a plan to transfer detained individuals to cooperating jurisdictions across the country, stating, "There are plenty of sheriffs… willing to give us empty beds." Homan emphasized the administration's commitment to securing necessary funding for detention and deportation procedures.
Homan's impassioned stance on illegal immigration stems from witnessing the devastating consequences of crimes committed by undocumented individuals, including the sexual abuse and rape of children. He cited the tragic case of Laken Riley, a young nursing student killed by an illegal immigrant, as a stark reminder of the potential dangers. "I want every mayor, every governor… to understand what she went through," he stated, urging officials to recognize the gravity of the situation.

Homan cautioned officials against obstructing federal immigration enforcement, referencing a statute that criminalizes knowingly harboring illegal immigrants. He called on officials who prioritize the safety of their communities to cooperate with deportation efforts. "For any governor or mayor who doesn't want public safety threats taken out of their communities, he should resign your office," Homan declared. He assured that due process will be followed but reiterated the administration's resolve to carry out deportations ordered by federal judges.

Homan directly addressed those who oppose the administration's approach, stating, "For those governors and mayors that are saying they're going to stop Tom Homan, they're going to stop President Trump: Shame on you. Your responsibility is to protect your communities, and that's what we want to do."
