In a bizarre turn of events, an Indianapolis woman experienced a robbery followed by an unexpected Facebook friend request from the perpetrator. Amber Beraun was retrieving mail outside her home when a man, later identified as Damien Boyce, approached her brandishing a firearm. Beraun recounted the terrifying ordeal to WRTV, stating the man demanded entry to her home, a demand she refused.

Beraun handed over approximately $100 to Boyce. Instead of fleeing, the suspect then instructed her to add him on Facebook, a request she complied with in hopes he would leave. Following the robbery, Boyce began messaging Beraun through Facebook, complimenting her appearance and even asking her out on a date, according to court documents. One message read, "Damn you was too pretty to rob," with Boyce promising to return the stolen money.

Beraun, understandably shaken, responded cautiously to the messages. Boyce's audacity extended to inviting her to "come chill" with him. The incident has left Beraun feeling uneasy in her neighborhood, constantly aware of her surroundings. Boyce was arrested and charged with armed robbery and is being held on a $7,500 bond.

This incident follows another alleged armed robbery involving Boyce just a week prior, where he allegedly shot two individuals and assaulted another with a brick during an altercation. He surrendered to police after a SWAT team intervention and faces charges including burglary, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal recklessness, and battery.
