Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his wife, Marissa, are officially parents! The couple joyfully announced the arrival of their first child, a daughter named Shae Lynn Lawrence, via an Instagram post on Monday. Shae Lynn was born on January 4th, weighing in at a healthy 10 pounds, 2 ounces.
The Instagram post featured heartwarming photos of the new family, including Trevor expertly handling dad duties as he carried Shae Lynn in her car seat from the hospital. He was also seen sporting a proud "Girl Dad" hat.
This joyous occasion marks a significant shift in focus for the 25-year-old quarterback as he enters the offseason. Lawrence's 2024 season was unfortunately cut short due to a season-ending AC joint sprain in his left shoulder. He played in 10 games, finishing with a 2-8 record, 2,045 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. His completion rate of 60.6% was his lowest since his rookie year.
With the Jaguars finishing the season 4-13 and Doug Pederson being let go as head coach, the team faces significant changes heading into the 2025 season and the upcoming NFL draft.
