Jimmie Allen Countersues Accusers, Denies Sexual Assault Allegations

Country music artist Jimmie Allen has filed counterclaims against two women who have accused him of sexual assault. Allen maintains that the encounters with both women were consensual, directly contradicting the allegations made against him. These counterclaims were submitted to a Tennessee federal court.

The first accuser, who served as Allen's day-to-day manager, alleges that Allen raped her in 2021 and continued to harass her for the following 18 months. Allen's counterclaim asserts that they engaged in a consensual sexual relationship starting in 2021 and lasting until the fall of 2022, when he ended it to focus on his marriage. The filing states that both parties initiated sexual encounters throughout their relationship.

The second woman claims Allen raped her and recorded the encounter without her consent during a visit to his Las Vegas hotel room in the summer of 2022. Allen's counterclaim insists the encounter was consensual and that he had permission to film.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Allen expressed his distress over the allegations and emphasized their impact on his family, mental health, and career. He stated that he sought professional help to cope with the situation and highlighted the additional burden of racism and threats he faces as a Black man in country music. He further underscored the financial repercussions for his band, team, and their families. Allen expressed his hope to clear his name and return to his music career.

A representative for the two women criticized Allen's counterclaims, describing them as part of a disturbing pattern of perpetrators suing their victims for defamation to silence them. The representative affirmed their intent to present evidence to the court demonstrating that Allen is a serial abuser who should be held responsible for his actions.

Allen achieved significant success in country music, becoming the first Black artist to debut with a No. 1 single on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with his song "Best Shot" in 2018. He received a Grammy nomination for best new artist in 2022 and won new male artist of the year at both the ACM and CMA Awards in 2021. He has also appeared on "Dancing With The Stars" and co-hosted the 2022 ACM Awards.
