Jimmie Allen Dropped by Record Label Following Sexual Abuse Allegations

Singer Jimmie Allen has been removed from the BBR Music Group roster amidst a sexual abuse lawsuit filed by his former manager. The lawsuit, filed in Tennessee federal court, alleges that Allen abused his position of power to harass and abuse the plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, for over a year and a half. The accusations include rape following an "American Idol" taping in March 2021, along with instances of unwanted touching and non-consensual video recording. Allen denies the allegations, claiming the relationship was consensual and questioning the plaintiff's motives for filing the lawsuit after their relationship ended. He states he plans to vigorously defend himself against the claims. This news comes approximately a month after Allen announced his separation from his pregnant wife, Alexis Gale, with whom he shares two children and is expecting a third. He also has a son from a prior relationship. Allen recently issued a public apology to Gale and his children for his actions, expressing remorse and a commitment to personal growth.
