A 42-year-old Las Vegas man, Jesus Gonzalez, is now facing a third murder charge following a series of violent incidents that occurred within a 24-hour period in January 2023. Initially arrested and extradited from California for two homicides, Gonzalez was rebooked last Friday in connection with a third death.
The first incident took place on January 8th. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers responded to a call about an unresponsive woman in a residence on North 17th Street. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

The following day, January 9th, proved even more violent. At approximately 2:45 a.m., LVMPD officers responded to a shooting on Franklin Avenue. A male victim was found on the street with multiple gunshot wounds and was declared deceased at the scene. Later that same day, around 1:45 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire at an apartment complex on East Charleston Boulevard. Inside the burning apartment, they found a woman with stab wounds. Medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.

Gonzalez was identified as the prime suspect in all three cases. He was initially apprehended in California on January 13th and held in a Los Angeles jail before being extradited back to Clark County, Nevada. The latest murder charge, related to the stabbing on East Charleston Boulevard, was added on February 16th. Gonzalez now faces three counts of open murder with a deadly weapon. Investigations into all three incidents remain active, and police are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section or Crime Stoppers.
