Former Texas Representative Mayra Flores has officially announced her candidacy for the 2024 congressional race, aiming to reclaim the seat she lost in the 2022 midterm elections. In a recent interview, Flores expressed her determination to "flip the district" and represent Texas District 34 once again.
Flores emphasized her commitment to strengthening border security and combating child trafficking, citing the need to hold the Biden administration accountable for the reported loss of contact with thousands of migrant children. She highlighted the importance of empowering Border Patrol agents and ensuring the safety and well-being of children.

Addressing the issue of Latino voters and the Republican Party, Flores stated her belief that the party's values align with those of the community. She emphasized her own pro-God, pro-life, and pro-family stance, noting that these conservative values are deeply rooted in her upbringing.

Flores also called for the impeachment of Secretary Mayorkas over his handling of the border crisis, further solidifying her position on immigration and border security.
