A Cleveland, Ohio mother faces murder charges after her 16-month-old daughter was found deceased in their home. Authorities believe the child was left unattended for over a week. 31-year-old Kristel Candelario was arrested by the Cleveland Division of Police on June 16th after officers discovered the unresponsive toddler around 8 a.m. Medical personnel pronounced the child dead at the scene, and while no immediate signs of physical trauma were evident, a full autopsy is being conducted by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact cause of death. Investigators have concluded that the child's death occurred sometime during the ten-day period she was left alone in the house. Candelario appeared in Cleveland Municipal Court on Tuesday and is scheduled for another court appearance the following week.
