Dramatic doorbell camera footage captured the heart-stopping moment a small plane narrowly missed several houses before crashing into trees near Hampton Airfield in North Hampton, New Hampshire. The incident occurred on Tuesday, leaving residents shaken but miraculously resulting in no injuries.
The pilot, identified as Dave Lennon, was the sole occupant of the aircraft and walked away unscathed. He recounted the terrifying experience to local news station WMUR, explaining that he was practicing a landing when he felt the plane dip unexpectedly. "I was aiming for the runway's end, but clearly, I fell short," Lennon stated, adding, "It was closer to the homes than I realized." He described trying to maintain control as the aircraft descended, saying, "It started dipping, and I thought, 'Oh no,' and struggled to prevent a complete stall." Lennon expressed immense relief, saying, "I emerged without a scratch, and I'm okay. I'm just thankful it wasn't far worse."
Hampton Fire Chief Michael McMahon confirmed to Fox News Digital that the pilot was evaluated by emergency medical services and remarkably sustained no injuries. The video footage vividly illustrates how close the incident came to being a major catastrophe. The plane can be seen descending rapidly, narrowly clearing snow-covered rooftops before impacting the trees.

The small town of North Hampton, situated near the Massachusetts border and south of Portsmouth, was the scene of this near-tragedy. Officials from Hampton Airfield expressed gratitude that no one was hurt and confirmed that an investigation into the crash is underway.
