Ozzy Osbourne Withdraws from Power Trip Festival Due to Ongoing Health Challenges

Legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne has announced his withdrawal from the highly anticipated Power Trip music festival scheduled for October. Citing ongoing health issues that have intermittently sidelined him in recent years, Osbourne expressed his disappointment in a statement released on Monday.

While Osbourne had hoped to resume performing in the summer of 2024 and was initially optimistic about participating in Power Trip, he acknowledged that his body isn't quite ready for the demands of a full-fledged performance. He emphasized his unwillingness to deliver a subpar performance for his first show in nearly five years.

Osbourne's replacement for the festival will be revealed later, with the rocker assuring fans that the substitute band are close friends of his and will not disappoint. He expressed gratitude to his fans, band, and crew for their unwavering support and promised to see everyone soon.

Ozzy Osbourne cancels 2023 tour

The Power Trip festival, held in California, boasts a star-studded lineup of rock and metal giants, including Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, and Metallica.

Osbourne's health struggles have been well-documented. He received a Parkinson's diagnosis in 2019, contracted COVID-19 in 2022, and underwent significant surgery shortly thereafter. Earlier this year, he cancelled a planned tour to prioritize his recovery from a serious accident four years prior that resulted in spinal damage.
