Saints' Alvin Kamara Reaches Plea Deal in Las Vegas Fight Case

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has agreed to a plea deal, avoiding a trial for his involvement in a 2022 altercation in Las Vegas. Court documents confirm Kamara pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor breach of peace charge. Originally, Kamara and others faced more serious charges, including conspiracy to commit battery and felony battery with substantial bodily harm.

As part of the agreement, Kamara will perform 30 hours of community service, pay over $100,000 to cover the victim's medical costs, and pay a $500 fine. While this resolves the legal proceedings in Nevada, Kamara could still face disciplinary action from the NFL under their personal conduct policy. The league has stated it is reviewing the situation. The NFL's policy emphasizes a higher standard of conduct for players, even beyond avoiding criminal convictions.
