Two Newborns Found Deceased in Chicago Daycare: Police Investigate

Authorities in Chicago are investigating the tragic discovery of two deceased newborns at a daycare center in the Streeterville neighborhood. Cleaning personnel found the infants unresponsive in a bathroom trash bag on Thursday evening. Emergency services were contacted around 7 p.m. and transported the babies to Lurie Children's Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

A woman, also found at the daycare, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. A Northwestern Medicine spokesperson confirmed the woman was a daycare employee and stated they are cooperating with the police investigation.
