A woman previously accused of boarding a Delta Air Lines flight to Paris without a ticket has been arrested again after reportedly attempting to cross the U.S.-Canada border. Identified as 57-year-old Svetlana Dali, she allegedly traveled by Greyhound bus to Buffalo, New York, following her initial incident.
Dali first gained notoriety when she allegedly bypassed TSA checkpoints and boarded Delta Flight 264 to Paris on November 26th without proper documentation. Following her return to the U.S., she was placed on house arrest with an ankle monitor. According to reports citing law enforcement, Dali removed the monitor on Sunday, prompting a search. She was subsequently apprehended by Canadian authorities at the border.
Dali's initial arrest involved FBI custody at JFK International Airport upon her return from Paris. Concerns about her potential flight risk were raised by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brooke Theodora during a bail hearing earlier in December. Prosecutors allege Dali had attempted to breach security at multiple U.S. airports prior to the Paris incident, aiming to fly without a ticket.
