Biden Dismisses Reporter's Question About 'Big Guy' Allegation in FBI Document

When questioned about an FBI document referencing "the Big Guy" in an alleged bribery scheme, President Biden dismissed the inquiry as a "dumb question." The incident occurred Thursday following a presidential event. New York Post reporter Steven Nelson asked why the term "Big Guy" was used in the document, which alleges a connection between Biden and a foreign national. Before staff escorted the press from the room, the President retorted with, "Why do you ask such a dumb question?"

The FBI document in question, an FD-1023 form, reportedly details a confidential source's account of alleged payments made to then-Vice President Biden by a Burisma Holdings executive. Burisma is a Ukrainian natural gas company where Hunter Biden, the President's son, served on the board. According to sources familiar with the document, the alleged payment totaled $5 million. It's important to note that FD-1023 forms document unverified information provided to FBI agents and do not inherently validate the claims.

While the document reportedly refers to "the Big Guy," and this term has been linked to President Biden, the Burisma executive allegedly stated that he did not make payments directly to "the Big Guy." The House Oversight Committee, which is currently investigating the Biden family's business dealings, subpoenaed the FBI for the FD-1023 form. Following negotiations and threats of holding FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt, the committee was granted access to review the document.

The White House has consistently denied President Biden's involvement in his son's business activities, asserting that he has never participated in or discussed them.
