Bill Maher Criticizes Media Coverage of RFK Jr.'s Presidential Campaign

Comedian Bill Maher recently criticized The New York Times and other mainstream media outlets for what he perceives as biased coverage of Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. During an episode of his "Club Random" podcast, Maher expressed his frustration with a Times article that labeled Kennedy a purveyor of misinformation, arguing that the newspaper should simply report Kennedy's statements and let readers form their own conclusions. Maher questioned the Times' characterization of Elon Musk as "right-leaning" after the paper referenced a conversation between Musk and Kennedy. Maher also pushed back against the Times' labeling of Kennedy as a "vaccine skeptic" and promoter of conspiracy theories, noting Kennedy's consistent polling numbers around 20% despite such labels. Kennedy clarified a statement attributed to him by the Times regarding pharmaceutical drugs and mass shootings, stating that he merely suggested the connection should be investigated. Maher agreed, adding that he believes it is a relevant factor. Maher concluded by reiterating his criticism of the Times for injecting opinion into its news reporting.
