Comer: Democrats Unprepared for Evidence in Biden Family Probe

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer criticized Democrats for their apparent surprise at the evidence presented in the investigation into the Biden family's business dealings. He highlighted the testimony of two IRS whistleblowers, one a self-identified Democrat, during a recent hearing. Comer contrasted his committee's evidence-based approach, which includes financial records, Suspicious Activity Reports, and testimonies, with what he characterized as unsubstantiated claims from figures like Adam Schiff and Jamie Raskin.

Comer emphasized the whistleblowers' corroboration of his committee's findings, which he said were compiled in five months compared to the Justice Department's five-year investigation of Hunter Biden. He questioned the source of millions of dollars reportedly received by the Bidens from foreign entities. Comer also referenced Schiff's recent remarks on "The View" downplaying President Biden's involvement in his son's legal issues. During the hearing, Raskin dismissed the Republican-led probe, while Comer countered by asking what legitimate services Hunter Biden provided in exchange for the payments. He hinted at forthcoming bank records from Ukraine and other countries, adding that the investigation also involves President Biden's brother, James. Comer reiterated his belief that the evidence ultimately implicates President Biden, questioning the President's continued denial of his family's receipt of these funds.

Comer concluded by stating that the investigation continues to point toward President Biden's involvement and criticized the president's refusal to acknowledge his family's financial transactions.
