Karl Houston Walls, a 27-year-old former teacher at Northeast High School in Pasadena, Maryland, is facing a multitude of charges related to the alleged sexual abuse of teenage students. Walls was arrested and charged on Wednesday with second-degree rape, perverted sexual practices, sexual solicitation of a minor, and multiple counts of second-degree and fourth-degree sex offenses. He also faces assault charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department initiated an investigation in May after two Northeast High School students came forward with allegations of inappropriate sexual contact with Walls. According to police, some of the alleged incidents occurred on school grounds. In one instance that reportedly took place off school property, Walls allegedly held a knife to one of the victims and asked if he should "use it."

The school administration has confirmed that Walls was removed from his teaching position in May when the initial allegations surfaced. Principal Jason Williams assured parents in a letter that Walls has had no contact with students since his reassignment and that the school is cooperating fully with the police investigation. The school is also providing support to the students involved in the case.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department encourages anyone with further information regarding potential victims to contact their tip line or the Child Abuse Unit.
