This meeting follows a brief discussion Musk held earlier in the day with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. Musk's European trip also includes a planned meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday, where Macron intends to advocate for France as a potential location for a Tesla factory and discuss tech regulation.
Minister Tajani tweeted that his discussion with Musk centered around the automotive and aerospace industries, expressing a willingness to collaborate on contemporary challenges such as cybersecurity. A Tesla spokesperson has not yet responded to requests for comment.
