NFL Stars Rally to Support New Orleans Terror Attack Victims

In the wake of the devastating New Year's Day terror attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, former NFL star Antonio Brown has taken swift action to support the victims and their families. He established a GoFundMe campaign with the aim of distributing the raised funds among the families of the fifteen individuals who tragically lost their lives.

Brown's initiative quickly garnered support, accumulating over $3,500 in the initial hours. His accompanying message emphasized that this act was solely focused on aiding the grieving families. He underscored his commitment to collaborating with GoFundMe to ensure equitable distribution of the funds.

Brown isn't the only NFL figure stepping up to offer assistance. New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan made a substantial $25,000 contribution to a relief fund established jointly by the Greater New Orleans Foundation and the city of New Orleans. Jordan used social media to publicize his donation and encourage others to contribute to the fund supporting victims and their families.

The attack, which involved a truck driven into a crowd, claimed the lives of over a dozen people and injured many more. The suspect, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, was killed in an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement. Authorities believe the attack was inspired by ISIS. This horrific event led to the postponement of the Sugar Bowl, which was later rescheduled.
