San Antonio police are investigating a fatal shooting at a Chase Bank ATM where a man, believed to be in his 20s, shot and killed two individuals who allegedly attempted to rob him. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Friday, July 7th, approximately 15 minutes from downtown San Antonio.
According to Police Chief William McManus, the man was withdrawing money from a drive-thru ATM when two individuals approached him in an attempt to rob him. The man, armed with a handgun, fired at both suspects, resulting in their deaths.
Chief McManus stated during a press conference, "It was a robbery that didn’t go well for the robbers." He further indicated that the man is currently being viewed as the victim of a robbery who acted in self-defense.

Police confirmed that all individuals involved are believed to be in their 20s. While no charges have been filed, the investigation is ongoing, and the man will be further interviewed. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the deceased or the man who fired the shots.
