Christmas held a special place in the heart of horror legend Vincent Price, and his daughter, Victoria Price, recently shared heartwarming and humorous anecdotes about his festive traditions with Fox News Digital. A lover of all things Christmas, Price couldn't resist a yearly prank on his wife, involving a particular piece of jewelry.
During a 1974 trip to Poland, Price purchased a bold bone butterfly necklace for his wife. Victoria recounts her stepmother's immediate dislike for the gift, expressing her distaste frankly. Undeterred, Price turned this into an ongoing gag. For the next 18 years of their marriage, he would include the same necklace in her Christmas gifts, much to her amusement and exasperation.

This playful spirit was characteristic of Price, who enjoyed pulling pranks on his family. Victoria recalled finding a "corroded denture" under her pillow instead of the expected Tooth Fairy nickel, and her father's habit of startling unsuspecting trick-or-treaters.

The Price family embraced traditional Christmas celebrations, starting with opening stockings together, followed by sweet rolls and eggnog, a festive lunch, and a day-long gift exchange with extended family. The festivities culminated in a grand New Year's Eve party with music and dancing.
The Christmas tree held special significance in their spacious home with high ceilings. Victoria's mother would source trees from department store suppliers, transforming it into a magnificent centerpiece. Victoria also had her own smaller tree to decorate, adding to the festive atmosphere.
