Tragedy struck near Ebensburg Airport in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, over the weekend when a twin-engine Piper PA-30 crashed in a wooded area, claiming the lives of both individuals on board.

The aircraft was reported missing Sunday morning and located around 2:30 p.m. that same day. Cambria County Coroner Jeffrey Lees confirmed that both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been publicly released.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the cause.
