Long known for its liberal leanings, Hollywood may be experiencing a shift in political perspectives, according to actor Kelsey Grammer. In a recent interview, Grammer observed a "softening" in the traditionally rigid political landscape of the entertainment industry.
Grammer, an outspoken conservative, shared his perspective on the appeal of conservative ideals, emphasizing the focus on common sense, open-mindedness, and fairness. He believes these principles are becoming increasingly attractive to individuals both within and beyond Hollywood.

While acknowledging that some will always hold differing views, Grammer expressed respect for individual choices and beliefs. He drew a parallel to Alcoholics Anonymous, noting the importance of a program's attractiveness to its potential members, suggesting that conservatism might be gaining similar appeal.

Looking ahead, Grammer expressed hope for a renewed sense of national integrity and a focus on serving the people. He characterized the previous four years as a period of misrepresentation and insincerity, contrasting it with the recent outpouring of support for those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

"I think conservatism maybe is starting to look more attractive. But for some, it never will be."

Grammer also commented on Donald Trump's recent appointment of Mel Gibson, Jon Voight, and Sylvester Stallone as special ambassadors to Hollywood, playfully questioning his own exclusion. He recounted a conversation with Voight, who expressed feeling "blackballed" by the industry due to their conservative views. While acknowledging the existence of some bias, Grammer maintained that he and Voight have continued to work consistently.

"I certainly hope that we just reestablish ourselves as a country that means what it says and says what it means."

Beyond politics, Grammer discussed his upcoming memoir, "Karen: A Memoir," which focuses on his sister's tragic murder in 1975. He described the writing process as both healing and inspiring, expressing his hope that the book will introduce Karen to a wider audience and offer solace to others.

Grammer also touched on his current acting projects, including the romantic drama "Wish You Were Here" and his ongoing efforts to find a new platform for the "Frasier" reboot after its cancellation on Paramount+. He expressed optimism about the future of the beloved character.

With a busy career and a young family, Grammer remains actively engaged in both his professional and personal life.
