North Korea orchestrated widespread rallies across the country on Saturday, commemorating the "day of struggle against U.S. imperialism." State-run media, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), reported that government officials used the platform to pledge the "annihilation of the enemy."
These rallies took place in every province, with a significant number of government figures denouncing the U.S. as "imperialist beasts," according to KCNA. The Pyongyang gathering reportedly drew a crowd of 120,000 participants.

Signs displayed at the rally conveyed aggressive messages, including one proclaiming, "The entire continental US is within our range!" Another sign declared, "The imperialist U.S. is the destroyer of peace."
The "day of struggle against U.S. imperialism" coincides with the 73rd anniversary of the Korean War's commencement.

Former President Trump's 2019 disarmament talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un did not result in an agreement. Under the Biden administration, Kim has continued testing new nuclear missiles, aiming to develop capabilities that could reach the United States.

KCNA reported that government officials speaking at the rally asserted that North Korea possesses "the strongest absolute weapon to punish the U.S. imperialists."
Other speakers highlighted the hardships endured by North Korea during the Korean War, describing how "the blood of innocent people was flowing like a river" wherever the enemy advanced, according to KCNA.
